Editorial policy
Purpose
AccountingBlogs publishes independent, educational UK tax and accounting guides. We do not provide personalised accountancy, tax, legal or financial advice.
How we research
We use primary official sources wherever possible, including GOV.UK, HMRC and Companies House. We explain rules in plain English and link readers to the relevant official source when a figure, deadline or rule may affect a decision.
Reviewing and updating
Tax rules change. We review time-sensitive pages around fiscal announcements and when an official source changes. A publication date is shown on each guide; readers should still check the linked official source before acting.
Corrections
If you spot an error or an out-of-date statement, please contact us with the page URL and supporting source. We investigate material corrections and update the article where appropriate.
Independence and advertising
Editorial coverage is not sold. Advertising, if displayed, does not determine which topics we cover or the conclusions we reach. Sponsored content, affiliate relationships and conflicts of interest will be labelled clearly if introduced.
